Meet Jessica Campbell (BSc, R.AC.)
You may recognize Jessica Campbell’s smiling face if you’ve ever visited our clinic before. She has worked at our front desk for just over a year and lately, she’s taken on another role at Whyte Avenue Chiropractic.
Jessica’s true passion is traditional Chinese medicine. She recently completed the extensive Acupuncture program at MacEwan University and has since passed her Pan-Canadian registration exams. After all of her hard work, we’re proud to announce that Jessica is now a registered Acupuncturist here at Whyte Avenue Chiropractic! Congratulations, Jessica!
Jessica grew up as a competitive dancer and an avid snowboarder in a small town in New Brunswick. Early in high school, she began internships as a pharmacy assistant and eventually became a pharmacy technician. After high school, she began her Bachelor of Science degree (Biology) with a minor in Psychology at the University of New Brunswick with hopes of continuing her education in Western medicine.
But while working towards her undergraduate’s degree, a family member became ill and she witnessed the strength of traditional Chinese medicine. She was intrigued by the positive effects the treatments had, and after completing her bachelor’s degree she decided to follow her heart.
In 2015, Jessica moved to Edmonton to attend the Acupuncture program at MacEwan University. Her interest grew considerably after severely fracturing her tibial plateau in a wakeboarding accident. While recovering, she experienced the effects of Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine first hand. Though the recovery was physically and mentally tough, she found relief and gained experience in Acupuncture for her injury and her overall health.
Jessica shows her passion to help and care for others every day in our clinic, especially now that she’s able to treat and prevent ailments with her newly earned accreditation, education, and experience. She intertwines her knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and biomedicine to help with conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, general pain, gynecological issues, stress, fatigue and more.
On top of Acupuncture needling training, Jessica is also trained in cupping, gua sha, tui na, and moxibustion therapy. We’re so proud of Jessica’s accomplishments and we’re pleased to introduce her in her new role at Whyte Chiro. Book your appointment with Jessica to feel the benefits of Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine today!
